Thank you everyone for your insight. I guess it helps to know that this isn't uncommon and doesn't have anything to do with my brother, but it still makes me extremely angry and makes me feel like my brother and his family have been betrayed. I feel just like Carrie in that we can't just go out and find a brother or son to slide into my brother's role and take over. Perhaps someday I will be able to accept this, but I'm certainly not anywhere close to that yet. I'm feeling like my almost sister-in-law feels as if this loss is all about her and every conversation we have is always about how she feels and what she is going through. There were a lot more people in his life than her, and it is all just so overwhelming. We're coming up on the 3 month anniversary in a few days and it seems like there are all of these emotional hurdles that we go through, and then another one pops up and makes it hard all over again. Maybe I'm focusing my anger her way and I shouldn't, but I just can't help it. What sent me over the edge was when I went to their house and on the refrigerator was a picture of her new boyfriend and none of my brother. It is HIS house! I just find it so disrespectful.

Anyway, thank you for listening and for your thoughts and insight. My thoughts are with you all.
